What is RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)?
RSA training is required for hospitality staff who work with Alcohol in their establishment. The 1 day course covers a variety of topics in serving alcohol, dealing with patrons who have consumed alcohol and laws and legislation surrounding alcohol in hospitality venues.

RSA learning module
Students enrolling in the RSA course will become competent in the nationally recognised unit SITHFAB002 Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol. Sessions will be held in 6 hour time frames.
Topics covered include:
- Sell or serve alcohol responsibly
- Assess alcohol affected customers and identify customers to whom sale or service must be refused
- Assist customers to drink within appropriate limits
- Refuse to provide alcohol
RSA group sessions
One of our dedicated RSA qualified trainers can deliver RSA training course sessions at your workplace for a 1 day 6 hour session. Workplaces should have at least 10 people attending each RSA session. We’re also flexible about the dates and time required by your organisation.
RSA classroom sessions
We also hold classroom sessions periodically throughout the year. If you have a group of 10 or more students but require a classroom venue to deliver the training we can provide sessions at our head office campus in Adelaide.
Individual RSA training
If you are an individual or a small group who would like to complete the RSA training course please get in touch with us. We may be able to place you in an existing group or classroom session depending on availability.

Food Safety Supervisor (FSS)
What is the FSS (Food Safety Supervisor) program?
Food laws in certain states in Australia have made the FSS Food Safety Supervisor program mandatory for hospitality operations that sell food or beverages. The FSS training program aims to prevent individuals from becoming ill as a result of food poisoning or poorly handled food. Topics covered in the course includes using hygienic practices for food safety and participating in safe food handling practices.
Who should complete their FSS training?
Food Safety Supervisors are nominated by the business owner. Each premise needs to have at least one trained Food Safety Supervisor. They may be the owner, chef, manager or employee. Business that should have at least one trained Food Safety Supervisor:

RSA learning module
Students enrolling in the FSS course will become competent in the nationally accredited units SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety. and SITXFSA002 Participate in safe food handling practices.Topics covered include:
- Follow food safety program
- Store food safely
- Prepare food safely
- Provide safe single use items
- Maintain a clean environment
- Dispose of food safely
- Follow hygiene procedures and identify food hazards
- Report any personal health issues
- Prevent food contamination
- Prevent cross contamination by washing hands

All fees include the training material and allocation of a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate. Your FSS will need to be displayed in your premise for health inspectors and customers to see.
