The 2018 Awards for Excellence for the Restaurant and Catering industry showcased some outstanding venues and achievements within the sector. As always it was thrilling to see so many of our industry partners recognised for their excellence, at the gala dinner awards ceremony held earlier this month.
Out of the three major category awards we were excited that two of our industry partners came out as winners. We would like to extend our congratulations to The National Wine Centre for their award of Caterer of the Year and to Magill Estate on receiving the award of Restaurant of the Year. It was wonderful seeing these renowned venues receiving recognition for their exceptional performance in the industry and we look forward to continuing our partnership with them.
In addition to this, three of our industry partners where inducted into the Restaurant and Catering Association Hall of Fame, for their continued outstanding service and culinary excellence. Red Cacao was inducted into the Hall of Fame under the category of Baker/Patisserie/Dessert Bar, Gaucho’s Argentinian Restaurant was inducted in the Steak Restaurant category and Magill Estate Restaurant was inducted into the Fine Dining Hall of Fame.
In total our industry partners were nominated for 55 awards across the various categories, with a total of 22 going on to win in their category.
Once again, we would like to congratulate the winners and nominees of the 2018 Awards for Excellence, on behalf of all the staff, students and trainers at Quality Training & Hospitality College.
