Our domestic qualifications operate under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and accredited with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). To ensure students are not learning what they already know, they may seek to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer (CT) for their qualification.
Nationally Accredited Qualifications
All full qualifications and Statement of Attainments issued by Quality Training & Hospitality College are nationally accredited under the Australian Quality Framework (AQF) and Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
This accreditation means our courses meet national training and industry standards and may be used as credit recognition in further study.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
All participants will be given the opportunity to apply for RPL for industry skills and life skills which they believe relate to specific current industry competency standards. Participants will be interviewed and relevant experience detailed and mapped against the content of the training program. Those participants without a portfolio of evidence of experience will be given an opportunity to demonstrate competence by ‘challenge assessment’ by our qualified assessors.
Credit Transfer (CT)
Credit transfer involves assessing a previously completed course or subject to see if it provides equivalent learning or competency outcomes to those required within the student’s current course of study. It is based on agreements between institutions or organisations as to the credit value to be given for specific units of competency and learning outcomes within a course or qualification.
